My qualifications are MD (University of Belgrade, 1971), MSc in Endocrinology (University of Belgrade 1978), DSc in Reproductive Endocrinology (University of Belgrade, 1985) and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London, 1995).
I obtained “The Certificate of Expert Witness Accreditation” (CUEW) from Cardiff University in 2005 and became a member of the Expert Witness Institute in 2006. I am an endocrinologist with a special interest in reproductive endocrinology, menopause and osteoporosis.
I have been a consultant endocrinologist for over 30 years. Prior to my appointment as Senior Lecturer and Consultant Endocrinologist at the Royal Free and University College London School of Medicine (1996) I was Professor of Medicine at Belgrade University School of Medicine and Head of the Division of Endocrinology at “Zvezdara” University Medical Centre, Belgrade, Yugoslavia.
I am a member of the Society for Endocrinology, American Endocrine Society, National Osteoporosis Society and several other professional bodies. I am regular reviewer for medical journals: Human Reproduction, Clinical Endocrinology, Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, Maturitas, Climacteric, Gynaecological Endocrinology.
I have over 300 publications including 100 scientific papers published in international peer-reviewed medical journals and over 20 book chapters. I also co-edited “Drug Therapy in Reproductive Endocrinology”, Arnold Publishing, 1996. I often lecture at various courses, national and international meetings.
I run two reproductive endocrine clinics, one dedicated menopause and one specialist osteoporosis clinic weekly. I have been involved in the medico-legal practice for over ten years and I produce on average ten to twelve reports per year. I accept cases within my special areas of expertise (reproductive endocrinology, menopause, osteoporosis).
