Biography

Dr Prelevic has been a consultant endocrinologist for over 30 years and has published extensively on a number of topics in her field.

She currently works as a Consultant Endocrinologist at the Royal Free Hospital and the Whittington Hospital in London.

Previously Dr Prelevic was Senior Lecturer in Reproductive Endocrinology in the Department of Medicine, Royal Free & University College London Medical School from 1996 to 2005.

Prior to moving to the UK in 1993, she was Professor of Medicine at the Belgrade University School of Medicine and Head of the Division of Endocrinology at Zvezdara University Medical Centre, Belgrade.

She has maintained a strong interest in polycystic ovary syndrome, menopause and osteoporosis and has a strong commitment to teaching and training.

She also undertakes medico-legal work in relation to her field.

Publications

Dr Prelevic has published over 300 original research reports and review articles.

She is a co-editor of Drug Therapy in Reproductive Endocrinology (Arnold Publishers, London, 1996), and editor and main author of Clinical Reproductive Endocrinology (published in Serbian, 1st edition 1992; 2nd edition 1993; 3rd edition 1996).

In addition, she has contributed to over 20 endocrinology texts.
